Certification of lifeboats and launching appliances

Annual servicing / five-year-servicing

During those services all components of lifeboats and the launching appliances are thoroughly inspected and serviced with special care to winch brakes and release system.

The lifeboats are brought to our workshop for an in-depth survey and maintenance. Lifting hooks and suspension brackets are dismantled for inspection and cleaning. Lifeboats and davits are subjected to a load test with its full complement of people and equipment.

Repairs of Lifeboats and Launching Appliances / Polyester Repairs (GRP)

We offer repairs of defected lifeboats and launching appliances detected during the servicing. After completion of the repairs the unit receives a valid certificate for lifeboats and launching appliances.

Navikon SRY Ltd is also capable of performing GRP repairs on lifeboats.
